How TurboStone works
TurboStone was developed around a simple idea: pumice works differently when the entire abrasive body is built to hold water, release fresh abrasive, and gradually renew itself during use.
TurboStone is made from pumice aggregate formed into an interconnected porous structure. When the stone is fully wetted, water moves through those connected pathways by capillary action rather than simply sitting on the outside surface.
As TurboStone rotates, that stored water is continually brought toward the working surface, helping maintain a wet, lubricated contact zone between the pumice and the material being cleaned.
At the same time, the abrasive body is designed to wear in a controlled way. Lower StoneLife versions release more fresh pumice and create more wet paste or slurry. Higher StoneLife versions retain their shape longer and release less material.
That controlled renewal is intentional. As the working surface wears, fresh pumice is exposed instead of leaving one permanently glazed abrasive face doing all the work.
TurboStone performs best at low to moderate drill speed with light to moderate pressure. Too much speed can throw water away from the stone instead of keeping it available at the working surface.
Fully wet it. Let the stone hold the water. Let fresh pumice do the work.
TurboStone grew out of years of dealing with stubborn well-water mineral stains and wondering why powered pumice had never really been engineered as a complete wet-use system. What started as a way to reduce hand scrubbing evolved into a family of different shapes and StoneLife formulations built around water movement, controlled abrasive wear, and replaceable powered cleaning.


What Kind of Drill Should I Use?
TurboStone is designed for a standard variable-speed cordless drill. You do not need a professional-grade tool or unusually high speed.
The important part is control.
Start slowly, keep the stone fully wet, and use light to moderate pressure while you get a feel for how your selected StoneLife behaves. Lower StoneLife versions will produce more pumice paste and conform more quickly. Higher StoneLife versions will hold their shape longer and release less material.
Avoid impact drivers. Their abrupt starts, stops, and impact action can place unnecessary shock loads on the TurboStone, adapter, and internal core.
You also do not need to run the drill at maximum speed. TurboStone is designed to work at low to moderate speed, where the stone can stay wet and maintain controlled contact with the surface.
For pool and other wet-area cleaning, keep the drill and battery out of the water.
If you are new to powered cleaning tools, practice controlling the trigger at low speed before applying significant pressure. Let the abrasive do the work rather than forcing the stone into the surface.
